My Work

I am a storyteller, an enthusiastic explorer of worlds—physical, digital, and literary. I write and publish poetry, web content, and work freelance as a content and copy writer. I earned a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Idaho, and have continued to grow and learn with every opportunity.

Also a full-stack software engineer, I build custom websites with Gatsby.JS and a handful of CMSes, primarily Shopify, Strapi and WorPress. I specialize in building small business websites with a custom flare, designing and developing with the customer in mind.

I work as a Project Management intern at Ventive, honing my ability to facilitate Agile software development. I work closely with the developers to ensure the quality of new features, find and root out bugs, and maintain a great relationship with the client.

Musician, Boise, Id — 2007 - Current

• Established working relationships with a deep network around Boise, Idaho, to support the scene and help it grow.
• Learned video editing software, such as Lightworks, to promote my personal brand
• Taught myself Audio Engineering to record drums at a professional level for a fraction of the cost
• Earned a B.A. in Creative Writing to both write lyrics for bands and professional letters to establish and build a rapport with venue owners, promoters, and like-minded musicians.

Freelance Content Writer, Boise, Id — 2014 - Current

• Worked for cannabis startup company, writing technical documentation on operating large farms
• Collaborated with team of developers/growers to acquire technical knowledge, and an understanding of the software itself

• Immersed in a full-time, full-stack web development environment to effectively, quickly translate my past experience as a writer, musician, cook and manual laborer into a core understanding of software development
